Aultmore Estate is situated within the spectacular Cairngorm National Park, surrounded by natural forest and breathtaking views of the Cairngorm Mountains. It is ideally located for all the recreational opportunities of the area, including hiking, biking, fishing, water sports, skiing, as well as space within its 25 acres of woodlands and gardens for healthy contemplation.
The River Spey is only one mile away and is one of Scotland's prime fishing rivers. Cairngorm ski area is fifteen miles away and there are several golf courses in the area.
The area is famed for its bird life with ospreys nesting close-by and the rare capercaillie resident in the woods adjacent to the house. Shops and restaurants abound in Aviemore as well as Inverness, though one might want to stop in a pub or two in Nethybridge or Grantown for a touch of local flavour.
